Page Grabber — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

The short version. Page Grabber collects nothing. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Everything happens locally in your browser when you click the icon.

What Page Grabber does

Page Grabber is a Chrome extension. When you click its toolbar icon on any web page, it reads that single page's DOM to extract SEO metadata, top keyphrases, heading structure, visible email addresses and phone numbers, external links, and social media accounts. The results appear inside the extension's popup for you to view, copy, or save.

What data we collect

Nothing.

Page Grabber has no backend server. No signup. No accounts. No login. No analytics. No error reporting. No tracking pixels. No cookies. No usage counters. No telemetry of any kind.

The extension never contacts any server we operate — because we do not operate one for Page Grabber.

How the extension works

When you click the toolbar icon, Chrome grants Page Grabber temporary access to the current tab via the activeTab permission. Page Grabber runs a small extraction function inside that page (via chrome.scripting.executeScript) which walks the DOM to find the data listed above. The result is returned to the popup and displayed to you.

The data never leaves your browser. Nothing is sent to any server we operate, no third party, no analytics platform, and no AI provider.

What is stored on your device

The extension does not persist any scan results between popup sessions. When you close the popup, all the scanned data is discarded from memory. If you download the results as a .txt or .json file, that file is saved to your normal Downloads folder by your browser's standard download flow — Page Grabber does not upload it anywhere.

Permissions we use

We do not request any host permissions, storage permission, downloads permission, cookies permission, history permission, identity permission, or any other permission.

What Page Grabber cannot do

Third parties

None. Page Grabber does not use any third-party service — no analytics, no error reporting, no CDN, no ad network, no fonts, no library loaders. Every file needed to run the extension is bundled inside the extension package.

Your rights

Because Page Grabber does not collect or store any data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. Uninstalling the extension from chrome://extensions removes everything the extension put on your device.

Children

Page Grabber is a utility for looking at public web page metadata. It does not collect any data of any kind, from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because the extension does not collect data and does not have accounts, we have no way to notify users individually — please check this page if you want to see the current version.
